The Charlotte Icehawks offer a clear development pathway from youth hockey through scholastic high school competition. Each program is age-appropriate, affordable, and focused on long-term player development.

Age/Grade Range: 11–12 years old (grades 5–7)

Practice Focus:
• Foundational skills development
• Basic team systems
• Fun, age-appropriate conditioning

Competition Level: Introductory / competitive – local games and small tournaments

Expected Commitment:
• 1–2 skills sessions per month
• Occasional on-ice team practices
• Weekend games

Additional Notes: Focus on skill building, teamwork, and introducing game concepts

Age/Grade Range: 13–14 years old (grades 8–11)

Practice Focus:
• Monthly skills lab for game prep
• On-ice practice once a month to work on team systems
• Leadership and conditioning basics

Competition Level: Competitive – frequent games and tournaments

Expected Commitment:
• 1 skills lab per month
• 1 on-ice practice per month
• Frequent weekend games

Additional Notes: Players can be called up to the Varsity team

Varsity

Age/Grade Range: 14–18 years old (grades 8–12)

Practice Focus:
• Monthly lab session for advanced strategy and conditioning
• On-ice practice once per month for team systems
• Game preparation and leadership

Competition Level: High school league play – frequent games and tournaments

Expected Commitment:
• 1 skills lab per month
• 1 on-ice practice per month
• Frequent games and regional travel

Additional Notes: Focus on advanced strategy, leadership, and high-level competition
